It is surprising what staring at a candle flame can give you. Calm.
I can name a few other moments that bring me calm.
Calm is holding a good cup of cappuccino inside a charming cafe while surrounded by intoxicating aromas of the day’s brews and drowned in the sounds of machines and orders being called in varying crescendos.
Calm is opening a new page of a specialty notebook and feeling its buttery soft pages underneath my hand as I softly glide my favorite felt-tipped pens in strokes that translate my emotions into words.
Calm is burying myself in the melancholic pieces of Fabrizio Paterlini while staring at a candle flame in the dark.
