When we hear music, Do we think of the lines, That make up its lyrics; The sheets of notes, That form its melodies? When we smell fragrances, Do we think of the flowers, From where it was extracted; Or the fruits plucked early, To compose its heart? When we taste chocolates, Do we remember the beans That were dried lovingly; Or the wrinkled hands of Masters seeking perfection? When you read me, Do you pause to actually see, The mother of these words; The damsel on display, Layered in complexities.
#TinySpringPoem with Beth Kempton | Day 6
Reflection:
Why don’t we take time to pause and think before we say a word today? It does not matter how simple that word or our next statements would be. Try to pause and consider the layers of our interactions. And, reflect on your discoveries after trying.
