I am a shift-worker and do a 4 on 4 off rotation of 12 hour shifts. To offset the dreaded "Mondays", I would do all my planning & prep 2 days before going back to work, leaving the day before for fun, rest, creativity, nourishment...whatever filled my cup. I found this helped alleviate the anxiety and I felt less hurried.
Love this advice—this is something I’m trying to do and sometimes sticking with. I’m actually trying to create those lists each day now because I’m self employed/working on starting my business right now so I’m working every day (to keep me on track and motivated)
Whatever system works for you! We need to get to know ourselves and adapt the systems we learn from the world in a way that works for us. If our own tailored system does not end up working, that is when we learn from others and see what we are missing.
Love the framing of bookends as rituals and weekly rituals as bookends.
I've tried to treat Mondays as "fresh starts" - every week I get another chance to craft my most satisying weekly practices ;-). I guess that blends into my Monday/Sunday night ritual/bookending by letting me consider what was left undone and whether it's something I really want to do, re-framing the Why, how I might prefer to do it, etc.

This is great advise for those working in shifts!!!
I might try this out, actually spending some time organising everything I need to for the week ahead. It’s definitely a weak spot I need to work on!
Please do. And if you work in shifts refer to what @Jen Traxel said above. Or for part-time workers, @Tory restacked this with her tips too.
